A brand new term is just one week away and it promises to be fun-filled as we transform our original show script into reality. Writing an annual production involving all classes is always a challenge; this years narrative will cover 6 different styles of performing art with ages ranging from 4 yrs to adults. And very soon our super talented students will be bringing the story to life!
Spring is here and who'd have thought we would have to cancel a day of classes due to a snow storm called Emma?! Luckily, our students are almost exam-ready with 2 weeks remaining to polish their work before the IDTA examiner comes to visit. Then next term will be showtime as we prepare to stage our Summer rendition of 'Hairspray' at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
As this term draws to an end, it's almost our show weekend and what an exciting finish to this term it will be! As students make their final preparations to perform on stage, we're already talking about summer holiday clubs...It's all go at the Amplify studio!
We're really looking forward to finishing this term with sparkle, when our students step onto the stage as a studio community for the very first time.
The children seem really excited about the adventure and production is looking very exciting. Just a couple more weeks left to practise, so in the meantime a huge thank you to all staff and parents for your continued support.
We're into the last few weeks of this term and the show is starting to take shape. Pretty much all choreography is now finished, so it's just a case of handing over to the children and linking everything together.
Alongside show production, we're also planning some summer activities just for fun! So watch this space...
We're just coming up to halfway through the term and everyone has settled back into the studio swimmingly. Show preparations are going smoothly and it is looking highly likely that we'll be putting on two final performances in July, rather than just one.
We've started testing sample costumes and the children are really starting to get into character. We're also still welcoming new students to our community, as it's never too late to start performing arts!
